John 15:12 : This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.

What would life look like if we were rushed to make changes that we weren’t ready for or grow at a pace that didn’t fully align with our purpose?

You see, rushing interrupts our capacity to love. It takes the focus off of the peace given to us through Jesus shed blood. It causes us to  put ourselves and our needs in a predicament that compromises the capacity to fully serve and love.

God never rushed us, because he loves… and love is patient. He loves us enough to let us grow, let us work on us, be better for others and ourselves. He loves us and there is no rush. Slow down Chica, there’s no rush.

Think About

Think about times throughout the day when you are interrupted or find yourself becoming inpatient. What are those triggers

Take Action

Pause and take note of who these feelings serve. Take note of the release of peace you feel as you begin to take yourself out of the equation and slow down.

Pray

Heavenly father, we thank you for this day. We thank you for an opportunity to come to your throne and thank you for being the God that teaches us how to love. And that love looks like pausing, slowing down, and taking inventory or the feelings and motives of our actions. Lord, we love that you love us and thank you for the opportunity to connect with you. Thank you in advance for your patience with us daily, hourly, and in some cases every single minute.
