On this podcast we will discussing various topics through a Black, Queer, Feminist Lens. Our goal is elevate, educate, and empower those of us in the Black Queer community, and also to help our supporters and allies to become more knowledgeable about what we need as far as support!
On this episode Mikey & Xay Dé speak about how being a Queer identified person has affected their lives. They reminisce about various situations that were life-changing as children. They also touch on how their Blackness shows up in predominantly White, Queer spaces, and also the stigmas that come with being Queer person – specifically a Queer Person of Color (QPOC). Lastly, they discuss the complications and the benefits of living as a visible Queer person.
