Yannick “Dr. Ya” Ladson is a licensed psychotherapist in NJ & PA. Yannick’s passion for advocacy & social justice activism was cultivated as a teen when she was a Peer Educator for Teens Against AIDS. Dr. Ya has 20years of experience working in higher education and counseling. She has a thriving private practice in Voorhees, NJ & oversees the Mental Health & Wellness Center at Mercer County community college. Yannick is a performer at heart: hosted two FM radio shows & written/performed rap, poetry, & standup. She has graced the stage of the renown Caroline’s Comedy Club in NYC several times. Using her talents & expertise, Dr. Ya is an advocate, activist, & healer; fighting to decolonize mental health & education while helping liberate & heal her people.
