She shares her motivation for starting the company, which stemmed from personal experiences as a driver for Uber and Lyft. She noticed that many women preferred women drivers and felt that a feature allowing passengers to choose women drivers should be implemented. Realizing that existing ride share companies were not prioritizing this, she decided to start her own company. The owner also discusses her background in computer science and how it has helped her in building and running Heride.
