Jayde sits down with two mental health experts to talk about crisis supports and the new 988 crisis hotline. First, Phebe Bell talks with Jayde about what a mental health crisis is and what current supports look like for those in need. As a director of behavioral health for Nevada county California, Phebe shares her expertise on what intervention supports work and how the system can be improved. Dylan Gunaratne, a previous crisis line counselor, then shares his experience working directly with those in crisis and other's looking for information on how they can support their loved ones. He gives a detailed account on what it's like being a volunteer, how he got started, and how it ultimately improved his own life.
