The Invite is one of those films that sneaks up on you because of how it presents itself upfront. On the surface the film comes off like a standard comedy fare regarding two couples engaging with each other over dinner. But over the course of the film, it slowly starts being about the state of both couples relationships especially the marriage between Rogan and Wilde’s characters. The movie goes about it in a very real way thats funny, insightful, and engaging. Definitely a solid watch overall.
