Just a heads up: This episode contains discussions of sexual assault, sex trafficking, and predatory behavior. Some may find it upsetting. We encourage you to take care of yourself.
Today, Lisa and Hana Katana, a musician, activist, and content creator, continue their conversation around the economy of abuse. One of the ways this system thrives is there a lack of education on what is sexual assault, consent, sex trafficking, and the reality of survivors trying to heal after an assault.
Lisa and Hana have a very frank conversation from survivor to survivor. Together, they are on a mission to collapse this economy of abuse and shift culture to support survivors and hold abusers accountable.
No longer will survivors allow their abusers be able to walk free and thrive.
This episode is all about education so that the general public can understand and support survivors who go public with their story of abuse.
From now on… I am not ashamed. I’m empowered.
Hana Katana is a musician, activist, and content creator who exposed her abusers in the entertainment industry on social media. Since going viral, she has connected with other survivors of his abuse but has faced many attacks from her abuser’s fans and the media. Hana Katana wants to foster safe spaces for survivors to speak out, so when other people are finally ready to name their abusers, they will be met with empathy and gratitude rather than victim blaming and shame.
