The Colorado Nebraska rivalry dates back ages, but it is one that isn’t played nearly as frequently as it should. The last meeting between the two programs looking to turn things around was 2019. They are obviously scheduled to play the next two years, but I make the case that it should be an every year game for the sake of rekindling this rivalry. Both fan bases are very passionate, and with Deion Sanders and Matt Rhule at the helm of each program they should both be trending up. Eventually this could be a yearly top-25 matchup that has major playoff implications.
8:51 Colorado has been a major player in the transfer portal as of late as they have brought in multiple Power 5 transfers over the weekend, and actually brought in another pass catcher. I break down what each transfer brings to the table, and also talk about the risk that Coach Prime is taking in relying on so many transfers.
17:14 Lastly to conclude the episode we dive into a Sports Illustrated article that has Deion Sanders headline the top-10 offseason headlines in college football. The article breaks down why he is captivating college football, and I break down how this has been the most fair analysis from an outside perspective this entire offseason. In many cases Sanders is criticized for his methods because he isn’t shy, but the article explains he isn’t the only coach doing certain things; he’s just the loudest. I also break down what the potential of Colorado could be with Sanders at the helm.
