Season 4 Kicks Off with Soca Sargeant, Host/Promoter of Soca Events and Sexy King of the Whine!

Welcome to Season 4 of the Sisters of Sexuality Podcast.  We are very excited about our first guest of the season as he has become widely know as a man who can whine ( a caribbean dance in which one ‘winds’ their hips) with any woman or any size and any rhythm! Soca Sargeant is far more than a handsome man with great whining skills.  He is brilliant and expanding a career on what he loves! 

Soca Sargeant Bio:
Before becoming one of the best Soca influencers in the game, John Paul’s (Soca Sargeant’s name)background was far from what you might expect. Born in Florida but raised primarily on the East Coast, he was raised in a Trinidadian household. It wasn’t until a trip back home to Trinidad that John Paul discovered his true love for Soca and its signature dance move, “whining.” As friends encouraged him to showcase his talent on social media, John Paul quickly rose to fame with his captivating dance moves and love for the infectious Trinidadian genre. Now, he regularly performs at Soca events nationwide and continues to spread his passion for the music and dance. 2023 is packed with hosting opportunities from Uber Soca Cruise to him being one of the main faces for Hollywood Carnival’s Winery Mas.  

It all started with a viral video on the streets of Los Angeles. His move caught the attention of Soca fans across social media platforms, and soon enough, he was being reposted by popular Soca pages left and right. Now, his fame has landed him a spot in Miami Carnival 2022, where he represented the band Haus of Wolves by Wolf of Wall street in the carnival experience. We can’t wait to see what other amazing moves he brings to the stage. It’s clear that this rising star won’t be slowing down anytime soon. 

What Makes Him Unique As A Performer 
It’s no secret that this performer has some serious whining  skills, but what truly sets him apart is his respect for culture and women in the dance scene. Not only does he deliver every time he hits the dance floor, but he also takes care to make sure everyone (especially the women) are having a good time and feeling comfortable. His awareness and dedication to cultural sensitivity is evident in his moves and musical choices, allowing him to stand out as a performer who truly embraces and honors the culture with every performance. And let’s not forget his waist movement – we don’t know how he does it, but every time he starts to whine we can feel it in our own hips! This dancer brings it all together for a unique and memorable performance each time.
