Meet our Featured Guest, Roy Jarmon, born in Greenville, Mississippi, who graduated from O’Bannon High School in 1968, attended Jackson State University with a scholarship, and enlisted in the Army in 1970.
After serving in Vietnam and retiring from AT&T in 2002, he turned to poetry as therapy following his 1st wife’s death from breast cancer.
His first book, Poetry by Simon Volume 1: Family Foundations, was followed by Poetry by Simon Volume 2: Circle of Life – The Vershelle
Cato Experience, which he wrote in honor of his first wife.
He has performed at various events and attends Hallelujah Christian Fellowship in New Jersey, where he lives with his wife and is the father of two with two grandchildren.
