The Republican-led North Carolina Supreme Court reheard arguments from a redistricting case it ruled on in December.  If the state’s highest court reverses, state legislators will determine the electoral districts, shifting the political power in the state.  I’ll talk to a North Carolina State Representative about what this will mean for North Carolina Voters. 

After years of debate about reparations, one city is close to making it a reality.  But San Francisco’s NAACP chapter opposes the proposed $5 million in reparation payments for descendants of enslaved people.  The Co-Chair of the San Francisco chapter of the NAACP will be here to explain why they want the city to reject the proposal. 

As three more people face murder charges in the death of a black man in police custody, his family views the security video of the incident that led to his death.  They say their son was tortured before he died.  Ben Crump, the family’s attorney, will be here to give us the latest on the case. 

In our Education Matters segment, an organization uses books to teach financial literacy and gives out stocks.  I’ll talk to a Global Children’s Financial Literacy Foundation Co-Founder about how they are equipping kids with financial skills.
