AJ Scruggs/DaLavendarBandit to social media, is a 33yr old Black man of trans experience from the east coast. The Trenton, NJ native got his start in organizing and advocacy in high school. Where he helped start his school’s first GSA, and the following year he was selected to become a peer leader. The foundation of his Ballroom House Family, and YouTube Channel became the new way he would reach his community in his early 20s. He currently resides in San Franscisco, CA where he is currently serving as the Community Organizer and Coordinator from the Transgender Intersex Justice Project. And he also the Founder and Executive Director of Visible T 365. A national grass roots organization that helps connect folks of trans experience to opportunities for personal, spiritual, or professional growth.
