She gets her passion for baking from her grandmother who not only baked but crafted her own recipes. 

Jocelyn explains that she chose to write her own book and distribute the recipes rather than own a restaurant because her main goal was to create a community. This gave her the ability to expand into a multitude of industries and build meaningful relationships.
