Episode 7: They Thought She Was Dead: Azar Farideh On Surviving a Cult, Healing, and Starting Over podcast
This week started with TikTok ads about male kegels, beet root, and supplements promising better performance.
I thought I was about to record a “grown” episode.
But the more I sat with it, the more I realized… this isn’t about sex.
It’s about the fact that I don’t know how to relax. I don’t know how to let go. I’ve been “on” for so long, my body forgot how to turn off.
And it’s showing up everywhere.
In my sleep.
In my stress.
In my body.
And yeah… in my sex life too.
This episode is for the people who carry the weight for everyone else and forgot how to carry anything for themselves.
If you’ve ever been the strong one, the dependable one, the one everybody leans on… this one is for you.
It’s about damn time I stop treating rest like a reward… and start treating it like a requirement.
This week, don’t try to fix anything.
Just notice where you’re holding tension.
Your shoulders.
Your chest.
Your stomach.
Your breath.
Then do one small thing to relax.
Not perfect. Not deep. Not life-changing.
Just one win.
Take the bath.
Go to bed early.
Sit still for a minute.
We’re not chasing home runs.
We’re stacking small wins.
