C. Vernon Coleman II is a music journalist based in Atlanta. He is the current news editor at XXL MAGAZINE. Raised in Virginia, he graduated from Hampton University with a degree in print journalism in 2005. Since moving to Atlanta in 2006, his work has appeared in such publications as XXL, VIBE, COMPLEX, SLAM, THE SOURCE, DIME and more. He has written cover stories on artists like LIL WAYNE and DAVID BANNER, and interviewed popular entertainers such as FUTURE, IDRIS ELBA, LIL DURK, 50 CENT, METRO BOOMIN, MIKE WILL MADE-IT, 2 CHAINZ, GUCCI MANE, THREE 6 MAFIA, RAPHAEL SAADIQ and more. Coleman is prepping the release of his upcoming debut horror novel, CONSUMPTION (@consumptionbook).
