Zero expectations going into this film mainly because the franchise was in a very wonky position. After a failed tv pilot revamp and 2 McG films that frankly haven’t held up, clearly Elizabeth Banks was up to the task of reviving interest in the property and she succeeds. The movie ends up being enjoyable mainly because Banks keeps things simple and to the point top to bottom. While there are some legit plot twists, the overall film is standard fare you’ve seen before but it still works as a very cohesive movie due to the writing and the actresses involved.
Definitely a fun watch and worth a trip to the theaters to see.
