Travis Hunter Doesn’t Make Defenders to Watch List, Dariauna Lewis Enters Transfer Portal

Travis Hunter didn’t make The Draft Network’s defensive players to watch list, and Jarvis Christian become one of the few HBCUs and few colleges in Texas to have a wrestling program. Dariauna Lewis is entering the transfer portal, and her departure would be a big blow to Alabama A&M women’s basketball.

The Draft Network is back with their 6 defensive players to watch, but Travis Hunter isn’t on the list. Isaiah Land and BJ Bohler have FAMU to have another stout defense. TDN projects the D Lind and secondary would be the strength of HBCUs

Dariauna Lewis is entering the transfer portal, and her departure would be a tough blow for Alabama A&M WBB. She has been an immediate impact player for the last 3 years, changing their winning fortunes from her first season on. Her presence in the paint offensively and defensively will be missed.

Jarvis Christian is starting a men’s and women’s wrestling team in the fall. This is a big move because it is a step outside of the norm. There aren’t many HBCUs with a wrestling team and the same can be said for all the colleges in Texas.
