As legislative attacks on the trans community continue across the United States, the Transgender Bill of Rights offers one path to bolstering protections on the federal level. First, Imara talks with Representative Pramila Jayapal about her work as co-chair of the Transgender Equality Task Force and her efforts to introduce the Transgender Bill of Rights in Congress. Next, Imara is joined by the Executive Director of the National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE), Rodrigo Heng-Lehtinen, to discuss the need for federal action on trans rights and the success of the 2022 U.S. Trans Survey.
