The Truth About Who You Are

My opinion of myself changes way too much, based on way too many things for me to able to accurately define myself.

If I do something well today, I’m awesome.

If I fail at doing something tomorrow, I feel like trash.

My feelings about myself are far too fickle and fragile to base who I am off of.

I know I need help in that area, so it would not be wise for me to define my entire self on my ever changing opinions.

And let’s talk about other people, while we’re at it.

You wanna talk about FICKLE?!

I tried so hard to appease folk who dealt so harshly with me.

I tried and explain myself to folk who were dead set on misunderstanding me.

I tried to build a case for why I didn’t deserve to be treated like human garbage by people I loved with my entire heart.

I was exhausted. I was depressed. I was depleted. I questioned my value and worth.

“How could they throw me away so easily? Maybe I AM garbage.”

Dealing with people who choose not see your value will have you questioning your own judgment of yourself, if you aren’t careful.

That’s why it’s so important that we root ourselves in truth that NEVER changes.

Who are you?

LOVED. WHOLE. REDEEMED. ENOUGH. A MASTERPIECE.  WORTHY. GOD’S WORKMANSHIP. SEEN. HEARD.

If the Creator of the entire universe sees you as PRICELESS,  who are we to put a price on ourselves or others? How are we qualified?

Seek the TRUTH and hold into it like your life depends on it. Because honestly, it does.
