Since the early 2000s, Paul Wall has been a staple of the Houston music scene. “The People’s Champ” has given us classic records like “Still Tippin,” “Drive Slow,” “Sittin Sidewayz” and more, and on this episode of “Say Less,” he speaks at length about his storied career. Moreover, he’s lent his voice and influence to the people of Houston, Texas in the wake of George Floyd’s murder at the hands of police officers. With Floyd being a Houston native, Paul Wall speaks on the protests that have been going on in his hometown alongside the likes of Slim Thug and Trae The Truth,
Wall also details the work he’s done with politicians and police chiefs in his hometown in order to try and restore trust within the community as COVID-19 cases continue to rise as well as racial tensions. He also gives his thoughts on Kanye West running for president and why he thinks it would be a good idea as well as his newest collaboration project “Slab Talk” with Lil Keke.
