The race for Chesapeake City Council is heating up—and this year, voters have plenty of choices. 15 candidates are competing for just five seats, including five Democratic-endorsed candidates, five Republican-endorsed candidates, and five Independents.

Tonight, Arrington Gavin sits down with Dr. Janelle St. Louis, one of the five Democratic-endorsed candidates seeking a seat on Chesapeake City Council.

We discuss why she's running, her vision for Chesapeake, and where she stands on some of the biggest issues residents are talking about—including data centers, rapid development, traffic and infrastructure, flooding and drainage, affordable housing, public safety, taxes, government transparency, and protecting Chesapeake's quality of life as the city continues to grow.

Local government matters, and with five seats on the line, Chesapeake voters have an important decision to make.

Can Dr. Janelle St. Louis convince voters that she's one of the five people who should help lead Chesapeake forward?
