Taylor Townsend–I Love Tennis

Taylor Townsend is one of my favorite current professional tennis players because she’s unrelentingly aggressive. She’s a serve and volleyer which is something no one does anymore! And she’s a survivor. Her journey has put her through a lot—she was the best junior player in the world when the USTA refused to back her because, well, she weighs more than the average player. But she was beating everyone! She’s been away recently on maternity leave but she’ll be back on the WTA circuit soon. We talk about technique, growing as a player, dealing with the USTA, playing against Serena, and much more.
