Sivonnia DeBarros | NO Fear | “Protector of Athletes” S2 EP 10

EJ and MH jumped on the mic with Sivonnia L. DeBarros on this episode of Black in Sports. Mrs. DeBarros a former division 1 track & field hurdler has accomplished her life long dream of practice law! Now representing athletes, businesses and providing resources with the new NCAA NIL phenomenon.

Conversation began with the Florida natives EJ and Mrs. DeBarros remembering growing up in Gainesville and Tampa, FL respectively. Mrs. DeBarros attending University of South Florida competing in the hurdles and 400 meter dash for the track team. She discussed with MH the importance of athletics and the mental release it gave her in terms of every day life as a student athlete.

From college, she shot her shot and created the SL DeBarros Law Firm, LLC. The boutique practice is dedicated to serving our client’s interests through business, employment and sports & entertainment.

She was not done; the author of Best-Selling book What Are You Sporting About? Led EJ and MH down the path of the creation of work along with the launch of the podcast “What Are You Sporting About?.” Hear who Mrs. DeBarros dreams of having as a guest on her podcast, let’s make that happen!
