Hey lady, this week Dr. Dom and Terri sit down with Cara McNulty, DPA, and President of Behavioral Health and Mental Wellbeing at CVS Health, to have an honest conversation about the real impact of the last three years. The impacts are real and we are just beginning to see the long-lasting effects of multiple major crises on our collective mental health. But, there’s no need for alarm. Mental health professionals have been nimble in adapting to the needs of society to provide care and nurturing as we all navigate uncertain terrain. In fact, according to Cara more than 60 percent of the population CVS recently surveyed are accessing telehealth services as a part of their care plan. Cara offers practical guidance on the way mental health services are becoming more accessible to Black and Brown communities. You don’t want to miss this episode, it’s chock full of helpful information for both the insured and uninsured.
Quote of the Day:
“You need so much more than mental health or “well-being” in this era of discrimination, invisibility, and psychological warfare. You need an impermeable web of protection for your mind.”
― Dr. Rheeda Walker
