Elizabeth Michaud’s book, Five Dreams, is an award-winning collection of poetry. It was awarded First Place for Best Contemporary Poetry in The BookFest Awards for Spring 2024. Additionally, her collection of work was also named a 2024 Finalist for Poetry by Literary Global Awards, and a 2023 Finalist for the American Best Book Awards for both General Poetry category and Narrative Poetry category. She is a mother of three adult children currently living in GA. Originally from TX, Ms. Michaud has spent most of her life in the South, and her writing is influenced by the diverse experiences of her background. She is an avid lover of foreign languages, and studied five in her life; she speaks French and Spanish with a practical level of proficiency. As a child, she loved to read, which in turn ignited her passion for writing. She has a range of literary interests: she can read the works of Stephen King with the same passion and fervor as the French poetry of Jacques Prevert or the literary stylings of Langston Hughes. Five Dreams is a culmination of twelve years of writing, and with her work now published, she looks forward to her publishing her next book, currently in the works.
