Dr. Kelly, a licensed clinical psychologist and certified eating disorder specialist, discusses the prevalence and impact of eating disorders, particularly among Black and Brown women. She challenges the perception of eating disorders as solely affecting thin individuals and highlights the importance of understanding the spectrum of eating disorders. She emphasizes the damaging societal beauty standards and the role of trauma in shaping our relationship with food.
