Prayer: Od Covenant vs. New Covenant

In the Bible, there is a clear distinction between the old covenant before the cross, and the new covenant after the cross. Under the old covenant, the children of Israel would only receive God’s blessings if they perfectly obeyed His commandments. By comparison, under the new covenant, we are blessed because we are in Christ Jesus. Righteousness is a gift we receive by faith in Him. The cross changed everything for us, including how we pray.
