Welcome to the Black Girl Burn Out podcast with Kelley. And today, I am officially calling for a town hall/community family meeting. We’re going to talk about opting out of celebrating trauma. Now hear me out. I want you to set a few ground rules. First, the vibe is going to be sensitive today. Although we’re going to dig deep into elements of toxicity that are apparent in our culture, our focus will be on healing and love. In no way is today’s conversation intended to be harsh. However, there could be some uncomfortable moments. Second, I’m asking you to keep an open mind. I take this beautiful community that we are building so seriously. You all mean so much to my heart. And I want you to know that I sincerely thank all of you for downloading and engaging the strategies that have been delivered along the journey. More than anything, I want you to know that you are not alone. This podcast is exploding in popularity, which is proof that we really do have a mighty sisterhood forming. I do not take that for granted. I’m so grateful to each one of you, for taking the time to listen to this podcast every week. Together we will enter today’s family meeting with an open heart, a healing spirit, and an attitude of gratitude. Let’s talk about it.
