Little Miss Sophie, set in New Orleans, Louisiana is a short story in a collection titled Violets and Other Tales. Miss Sophie is a woman who is struggling to make ends meet. After hearing that her previous husband is facing financial ruin, she decides to help him by returning a family heirloom ring.
