Leaving Her: A Short Story About My Abusive Relationship

My ex-girlfriend is nowhere to be found on the internet. She’s not Googable. She hated Facebook even before our parents joined. But I can easily scroll through our early 20-something faces, our passion, our disaster, all in my head. 

This episode of #ShesBeautyAndTheBeast is a pivot from the general vibe I’ve rolled out thus far. 

My mom is absolutely not going to enjoy the fact that I’m sharing this one with yall (or next week’s episode for that matter) and I get that. As a Scorpio, I especially appreciate the intention of protection. 

However, I remember feeling so tragically alone during me and my ex’s darkest hours and the mere existence of that illusion is reason enough for me to share a bit of some shit.
