I recently saw a TikTok of a woman who said white people need to “be an ally” and “be aware of their privilege” in interracial relationships. Speaking as someone in an interracial relationship myself, there’s an important distinction between simply dealing with cultural differences versus introducing an ideology of victimhood and oppression into a relationship.
