Griot Baba Lumumba is back in our classroom this Tuesday morning, and you won’t want to miss it! Known for his thought-provoking discussions, Baba Lumumba will explore “The Golden Age of Black Consciousness,” covering the transformative period from 1955 to 1995. This era was crucial for fostering Black understanding, unity, and resistance. In addition, DC activists are joining us to stand against a city council plan that threatens to block protests in our community. We’ll also hear from Detroit-based talk show host Michael Imhotep during this enlightening session.
