It is Monday on The Rickey Smiley Morning Show Podcast. There is some sad news coming out of the Vatican City. They have confirmed that Pope Francis has passed away at eighty-eight years of age. Pope Francis was appointed to the papacy in 2013 and was the first Latin pope. The funeral date has yet to be set. In celebrity news, LeBron James is defending his wife Savannah James on social media. This is after rapper Kevin Gates saying he would not want to be LeBron James because he does not think that Savannah gawks at LeBron like the white women do. LeBron responded by a social media post with him and his wife “not responding to peons.” Also, award winning actor, Sheryl Lee Ralph has received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Sherly Lee Ralph is celebrating close to fifty years as an entertainer. She spoke about the blessing of people showing up for her when she received her star on the Walk of Fame.
