Welcome back to the Fake Ass Book Club!! This week the ladies take a peak into “THE SECRET LIVES OF CHURCH LADIES” by Deesha Philyaw. “The nine short stories in this book feature four generations of characters grappling with who they want to be in the world, caught as they are between the church’s double standards and their own needs and passions. With their secret longings, new love, and forbidden affairs, these church ladies are as seductive as they want to be, as vulnerable as they need to be, as unfaithful and unrepentant as they care to be, and as free as they deserve to be.” Be a fly on the wall as Moni and Kat dissect their favorite stories and give their insight into black women's sexuality as it relates to church and other aspects of life. They were also joined by the fabulous Ebony Chappel for a portion of the show, which is always a good time. This episode is juicy so sit back, relax and get into the Secret Lives of Church Ladies with your F.A.B. friends!!
