In this episode, Tawana Hobday an Educator for over 20 years, shares her struggle with self- love. As a child, she was often told that because of her darker skin complexion she was not pretty or attractive. As she grew, she begins to take on the views of others, which affect her perspective of herself. She tried several ways to masks or hide from the ridicule of others. She shares the mental battles that she would have in her mind concerning who she was, never feeling worthy or valued. It was not until she felt the true love of God and understood how He saw and created her specifically for the purpose was she able to begin to break free of the mental bondage she was in.
Tawana shares her transparent truth and her new revelations of herself. She discusses her mindset shifts and how she was able to embrace who she is and love herself.
