Ep 80. Greg Burnham – The Search for Sadiqah.

Author Greg Burnham joins us in episode 80 to discuss his new series, The Search for Sadiqah.   We dig into a little of the plot, characters, creation of the title, and the motivation behind it.  We also discussed issue 3 of Greg’s other title, The Tuskegee Heirs. We even showed a little love to our rival HBCU’s and a little hoops.  If you know Greg, you know these things are high on his list.  Below is a summary of his new series.

Year 1921–After her home and family are devastated in race riots, 13 year old Sadiqah is forced to flee Oklahoma and head west into the unknown. Little does she know, she’s carrying an item so valuable, that adversaries will chase her to the ends of the earth to claim it. Accompanied by a most unlikely guide, Sadiqah will face many obstacles, make new friends, and a few enemies on her quest for the truth.
