In 1953 sugar cane workers in Louisiana went on strike in order to form a workers’ union.  Their movement exposed the harsh working conditions southern agricultural workers experienced, drew international attention and support, ultimately ending up in a Supreme Court decision addressing the workers’ strike.  Listen, learn then activate!
