After a short two week, we’re happy to be back with a new episode! Syd is joined by music aficionado, Lex of The Lex Mix, a weekly music playlist curated according to the latest and greatest of all genres. Inspired by the most recent documentary ‘Tina’ focused on the legendary and iconic, Tina Turner, we chat about her story. Like many musicians today she faced hardship and strife but used her undying passion for music to propel herself into stardom. Like can you imagine the annoyance of creating a lane unlike anyone before you yet only receiving your credit much later on? Surprisingly this isn’t uncommon in terms of Black musicians.
