This episode has two guests; Syeeda, Manager at Budega in North Hollywood, CA and Lauren, Co-owner of The Artist Tree in West Hollywood, CA. Both of these brick and mortar dispensaries are flourishing in their own right, but the struggles to get licensed, marketing, follow strict guidelines etc. are very different for these women as Lauren is white and Syeeda is black. Especially with the long history of disproportionate arrests as it relates to cannabis, we are discussing what being a woman, as well as a woman of color in a male dominated industry that was once an illegal industry looks like
