Michelle (she/hers), aka “Mickey” is a long time activist and advocate on issues such as foster care, LGBTQ+ issues/laws/policies, homelessness, poverty, education, etc. Mickey started off going through some rough stuff, then found her resilience and has spent her life trying to help others find their resilience as well. She is a Cooke scholar, a recipient of varied awards in education and advocacy work, a public speaker, as well as having a screenplay written with her writing partner – loosely based on her life as “Lucky McCloud”.
