Sheila Wise Rowe holds a Master's degree in Counseling, hails from Boston Massachusetts, and has lived in Paris, France and Johannesburg, South Africa. For over twenty-five years Sheila has been a counselor, spiritual director, and speaker. Sheila is also a truth-teller who writes passionately about matters of faith and emotional healing for several publications. She advocates for the dignity, rights, and healing of abuse survivors, those carrying racial trauma, and racial (re)conciliation. Sheila has taught on trauma, healing and psychology at several US colleges and at the Africa Peace Institute in South Africa. Sheila’s newest book is Healing Racial Trauma: The Road to Resilience.
