Althea Williams: SHE VETS IT!

After attending college and working various civilian positions, Althea decided to follow in the footsteps of her favorite uncle and joined the Army.   While honorably serving, Althea completed a nine-month tour in Afghanistan and a three-year tour in Germany as an aviation operations specialist. After surviving a Traumatic Brain Injury from a near-fatal accident, unfortunately Althea's  military career was cut short. 

While still working on her recovery, Althea continued to follow her passion of being a community builder.  In 2017,  Althea founded the virtual group “She Vets It,” where women from every branch of the military can come together in a safe space to converse, connect and collaborate.
