“On The Other Side”

Tracey Gatling stops by WAGM Studio. Tracey Gatling son (Bruce Boone) was involved in the murder and robbery of Darren Lee 28 of Franklin, Va. "Lil Bruce" was sentenced to 18 years in prison for his role in this crime. He now has been in prison for the last 12 years. Tracey spoke from the "other side" as a mother who son was involved in gun violence leading to the death of someone. While her son was involved she feels sorry for what the young man family may be going through. She also states that "her son feels remorseful" for what happened. Tracey feels that if the mother of Lee wanted to talk with her that she is open to it and would let her speak whatever she wanted to her. Often times we hear from the victims family and friends meanwhile; the offender has family and friends as well who care about them. Both families are hurt, filled with anger, frustration and etc. when something like this happens and hopefully from this episode people will gain a level of understanding for both sides. HURT is HURT and we are empathic to these issues as well as praying for healing for EVERYONE.
