This week I sit down and chat with Dr. Bryan Fisher, a Vascular Surgeon practicing in Nashville, TN. Dr. Fisher talks about his practice as a vascular surgeon and his pathway to medical school and residency. He shares how he manages a busy practice and highlights some of the complex surgeries he performs. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Fisher consults for several device companies, giving him access to cutting edge technology and allowing him to affect patients and clinicians worldwide. 
As we have learned, every field of medicine has its fair share of healthcare disparities. Dr. Fisher talks about the importance of appropriately managing peripheral vascular disease and providing patients options that avoid or limit amputations. He explains how providing the longest limb possible increases patient mobility, quality of life and morbidity.
