The Moment is a film that wants to be ‘This is Spinal Tap’ so bad and its unfortunate that the film doesn’t hit those entertaining heights that you expect out of a mockumentary. The movie plays into the real life rise of musician Charli XCX. If you’re a fan of her then you’ll probably enjoy the film for what it is. If you’re someone that isn’t familiar with her but you’re hoping the film would give you an idea of Charli and her music then you’re gonna be bored as hell. The film tries to hit you with comedy and drama but it doesn’t really stick the landing on it. You end up with a very flat movie overall.
