The Real History of Hip-Hop & Media’s AI Future With Damion ‘Darizza’ Young podcast
There are a lot of actors who are generous with their time and energy in helping others. A handful who take on the title of “activist.” And a very select few who live up to that designation, day in and day out.
Kendrick Sampson is part of the latter group.
This man does the work.
Sometimes that means speaking at BLM rallies. Others it means lending his celebrity and social following to pro-Black causes. Others still, it means penning an open letter to Hollywood execs, asking them to distance themselves from pro-police content.
Point being?
Sampson is really all about activism and this interview — in which he expands on ways his commitment to justice has both helped and hindered his career — is deeply insightful in that regard.
Give this a listen to hear one of Hollywood’s brightest emerging stars speak on the challenges and joys of being a pro-Black actor in Hollywood. Plus plenty of insight on Insecure and his numerous other roles!
