It is Hump Day on The Rickey Smiley Morning Show Podcast. On this episode, the RSMS crew talks about Caitlin Clark being named the Athlete of the Year by Time Magazine. This is the first time that a player from the WNBA has been named Athlete of the Year. Clark said that she realizes her white privilege and that black women have built the sport of the WNBA, and she hopes to help shine a light on the WNBA.  

In other celebrity news, Tyler Perry said in a recent interview that he does not read reviews of his movies anymore. He said that he stopped reading reviews twenty years ago and does not pay attention to any of his critics. Also, Jamie Foxx opened up about his health scare last year in his newest Netflix special, What Had Happened Was. Foxx said that he had a brain bleed that led to a stroke.
