Fighting back against an abusive relationship (Lona Bawuti)

How can you tell if you’re in an abusive relationship? It may seem ‘cute’ when your lover always wants to be by your side. Until one day, they’re physically dragging you away from a family event.
“Everything had to be approved by him. All the time, all the time…and then the beating started,” recalls Lona Bawuti, an activist and survivor of gender-based violence. She shares her personal story with host Nozibele Qamngana-Mayaba.
