podcast February 26, 2022

Background

As Russia attacks Kyiv from multiple directions, NATO’s Response Force has been activated, for the first time in history, to defend the Alliance. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says the “Fate of Ukraine is being decided right now”. CNN Senior National Security Correspondent Alex Marquardt reports live from Ukraine’s Capital, where heavy fighting continues.

In a rare step, the U.S. announces it will sanction Vladimir Putin directly, along with his Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. Plus Ukrainian Parliament Member Kira Rudik says she’s armed and ready to fight, and what is behind Putin’s ludicrous vow to “de-Nazify” Ukraine? Is he borrowing from Hitler’s playbook? Timothy Snyder, Professor of History at Yale University, joins Wolf to discuss.
