Lil Yachty is back in the blogs for admitting that he took a back road on getting his sampled song out to the world against the original artists’ wishes (32:27). We also discuss his admission that he recently heard ‘The Black Album’ for the first time, and this turns into a conversation about just how much the new generation owes to the culture (45:05). It’s official: Dame Dash’s ownership in Reasonable Doubt will be auctioned off (56:09), and also official, Mal has ADHD. Mal being neurodivergent doesn’t stop him from catching a political stray from a fellow podcaster, and we discuss the history of politics in hip-hop (1:04:45). Cardi B is having a baby and getting rid of her husband, and we predict that this will once again push her album back, causing Demaris and Mal to have a small disagreement about what artists owe casual fans (1:17:23).
